Charity Golf Tournament Raises Funds for YMCA of Central Virginia Outreach Initiatives
The YMCA of Central Virginia hosted a charity golf tournament at Boonsboro Country Club to raise funds for two of the Y’s community impact initiatives; Power Scholars Academy and Child Care. The event was hugely successful, with 184 participants in attendance to support a great cause.
The tournament featured 18 holes of golf, a raffle, lunch and giveaways. Along the way, players had the opportunity to participate in various contests. The tournament concluded with an awards ceremony, where prizes were awarded to the top performers.
Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors and participants, the tournament raised a total of $31,633.90 to help fund the Y’s donor-supported financial assistance program for child care and Power Scholars Academy, filling gaps in community services for families and kids in our community.
