Choose from our full-time program (7:30 AM–6:00 PM) for a full day of discovery, play, and growth, or our part-time option (8:00 AM–12:30 PM) for a focused morning of preschool learning. Whether you’re looking for full-day childcare or a structured pre K experience in Lynchburg, our schedule is designed to support your child’s development and your routine.

STREAMin3 is a research-based, innovative curriculum developed by the University of Virginia’s Center for Advanced Study of Teaching and Learning (CASTL) and approved by the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE). It stands for Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics, and Integrated into interactive, hands-on learning experiences that engage young minds and encourage critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving.

Daily Schedule & Availability

Little Scholars Academy Preschool with the YMCA of Central Virginia is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM. We offer full-day care and education year-round, providing families with a reliable schedule and a consistent, supportive environment for their children.

Flexible Tuition & Financial Support

Little Scholars Academy Preschool with the YMCA of Central Virginia offers flexible scheduling and affordable tuition options to meet your family’s needs.

Full-Time Care (Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM): $195/week
Part-Time Care (Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 12:30 PM): $150/week

An annual registration fee of $75 applies. As a licensed Virginia Childcare Subsidy provider, we help eligible families access financial assistance through the state. Additional donor-supported aid may also be available for those who qualify, ensuring more families can experience high-quality early education.

Preparing Young Learners for What’s Next

Little Scholars Academy Preschool with the YMCA of Central Virginia serves children ages 2.5 to 5, supporting their growth during these important early years. Our program helps prepare children for kindergarten and beyond by building confidence, independence, and essential foundational skills.
We use the STREAMin3 curriculum, which blends science, technology, reading, engineering, arts, and math into hands-on learning experiences. Through engaging activities and guided exploration, children develop creativity, critical thinking, and a love for learning in a supportive and nurturing environment.
