Be a Leader, Make an Impact

At the Y, our Teen Programs are designed to help young people explore their interests, develop leadership skills, and build lasting friendships. From community involvement and leadership training to social activities and fitness, we provide a safe, supportive space for teens to grow and thrive. Whether it’s learning new skills, giving back, or connecting with peers, our programs empower teens to shape their future while having fun along the way.

Leaders In Training (LIT)

The Leaders in Training program helps teens develop leadership ski ls through hands-on experiences. Participants engage in teamwork, communication, and problem-solving activities while giving back to their community. This program builds confidence and prepares teens to take on leadership roles, all while making new friends and having fun!

Youth and Government

Youth and Government lets teens explore state government by participating in a mock legislative session. They research issues, draft bills, and debate with peers, gaining leadership, public speaking, and critical thinking skills. This program helps teens develop civic responsibility and engage in real-world problem solving.

Swim to Work

The Swim to Work program prepares teens to become certified lifeguards or swim instructors, combining fitness and career development. Through swim training and job certification, teens build confidence, gain valuable skills, and get a head start on future employment at the Y, all while having fun in the water.
