During inclement weather or unexpected closures, we update this page first, followed by email notifications (make sure your email is up to date and alerts are turned on), app notifications through YMCA360, and posts on Facebook and Instagram. Before heading to the Y, check the website for the latest updates to ensure a smooth visit!

Youth Development:
Due to inclement weather, YMCA Before and After School Programs will operate with the following adjustments:
- Lynchburg City Schools
- YMCA Before and After School will host a Fun Day at the Jamerson Family YMCA from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Please send your child with a lunch, two snacks, a swimsuit, a towel, and any materials needed for remote learning.
- Amherst County Schools
- Amherst County Public Schools will operate on a two hour delay. YMCA Before and After School Childcare will also operate on a two hour delay, with the program beginning at 8:30 AM.
