Water Safety Day – Jamerson Family YMCA
Drowning is the leading cause of death for children ages 1–4 and one of the top causes for ages 5–14. It’s fast, silent, and preventable. Water Safety Day is designed to help change that!
Join us for a free, hands-on event where children ages 5–12 will learn essential water safety skills in a fun, supportive environment.

What to Expect:

1-hour sessions (30 minutes on land + 30 minutes in the water)

Hands-on learning led by trained YMCA instructors

Interactive stations that reinforce real-life water safety skills

A fun, engaging experience that builds confidence around water
Registration Information:
Registration is required, and spots are limited. All participants must be registered prior to the event. Early registration is encouraged.

Water Safety Day is part of the YMCA’s commitment to helping every child feel confident and prepared around water. While this event introduces key safety skills, it is not a substitute for swim lessons. Continued practice and instruction are essential in building strong, capable swimmers.
