Pickleball Camp (Mini Summer Day Camp)

Ages: 7 - 12

LOCATIONS:
Jamerson Family YMCA

Our Pickleball Camp introduces young players to one of the fastest-growing sports in a fun, energetic environment. Campers will learn the fundamentals of the game through skill-building drills, partner play, and friendly matches – all led by experienced instructors. Camp session runs June 23rd – 26th, at 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM. Members: $65, Non-Member: $90.

Basketball Camp (Mini Summer Day Camp)

Ages: 7 - 12

LOCATIONS:
Jamerson Family YMCA

Basketball Camp at the YMCA of Central Virginia invites kids to elevate their game while learning the core values of teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship. Designed for all skill levels, this engaging summer camp provides structured drills, game play, and personalized coaching in a fun, supportive environment. Camp session runs July 21st – 24th, at 9AM – 12PM. Members: $75, Non-Member: $100.

Art Camp (Mini Summer Day Camp)

Ages: 7 - 12

LOCATIONS:
Jamerson Family YMCA

Art Camp at the YMCA of Central Virginia sparks creativity and imagination through hands-on projects designed to inspire young artists. Campers explore different techniques, express themselves through art, and bring home their own masterpieces in a supportive, fun environment. Camp session runs June 30th–July 3rd from 9:30–11:00 AM. Members: $65, Non-Members: $90.

CrossFit Kids Camp (June 16 - 19)

Ages: 4 - 10

LOCATIONS:
Jamerson Family YMCA

A four-day camp for ages 4-10. Led by certified CrossFit Kids coaches, the focus is on fun, cooperation and self-confidence. We use derived CrossFit movements such as the squat, pushing and pulling, lifting, jumping, and interval conditioning. This is often in game form. The emphasis is not on performance, but on improvement. Camp session runs June 16 – 19, at 8:30 AM – 9:30 AM. Members: $65. Non-Member: $90.

Our summer camps are open to all children. You do not need to be a YMCA member to attend, although members receive discounted pricing.

We recommend bringing a water bottle, sunscreen, and athletic shoes. Specific items may vary depending on the camp, and you’ll receive a detailed list when you register.

Yes, financial assistance is available through our Financial Assistance Program. Please apply early, as processing takes up to 14 days.

Mini Summer Day Camps focus on specific activities like soccer, basketball, or flag football and run for shorter periods, typically half-days over a few days. They emphasize skill-building and fun in a particular sport. Summer Day Camp, on the other hand, runs all summer long with themed weeks, adventures, and a wider variety of activities, offering a full-day experience for kids looking for a longer, more immersive summer program.
